Young writers from two local academic advancement programs, Next Generation Scholars and the 10,000 Degrees program, present new work at this bring-your-own picnic lunch, under the spreading tree on the library lawn.

Javier Zamora, came from El Salvador to the US at the age of 9 and grew up in San Rafael. He is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford with an MFA from NYU and a new book coming out from Copper Canyon Press in 2016.
