I met almost every Bay person I know as a direct or indirect result of Litquake, which led to my writing for the SF Chronicle and also to the beginning of Quiet Lightning, which began only 6 weeks later and now, as part of this year's festival, is celebrating 100 shows with a free day-long festival in the Mt. Tam amphitheater. We're running a Kickstarter right now to establish our first paid full-time staff member. Our show's on Sunday, October 9, 11am-5pm; free shuttle with RSVP! We also power Litseen.com, a near-comprehensive calendar of Bay Area lit events. Oh! We're accepting submissions of all forms of writing through Oct 12 for our 11/7 show at The American Bookbinders Museum. I know that's not it, but that's it for now!
